Back in 2007, Sharon and Michael from Gonwin Manor asked us to design a landscape plan containing a ‘lake’ on a bigger scale than normal, with the purpose of both entertaining future guests at Gonwin Manor Cottages and to have an area of private lakeside.

Today, Gonwin Manor Cottages is a 5* Gold + self-catering holiday complex. Since the site opened in April 2011, it now has a well established ecological lake, providing a wonderful habitat for a range of wildlife, set within beautiful landscaping, which can be exhibited to future customers interested in having a pond of any size. With this project we have proved that it is possible to encourage wildlife to settle without having a natural spring or pond.

We are specialists in building garden ponds, with many years of experience in delivering the perfect product. The principle of building a pond is the same, no matter what the size or shape. In this case the pond has a drainage system in the bottom, which leads the water through a subculture filter made of water plants, which then returns to the pond.
